Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstract Submission:
Abstracts must be prepared in both Turkish and English. As submitted abstracts will be published exactly as received, authors are responsible for ensuring that the text is free of spelling and grammatical errors. The authors bear full responsibility for all errors. Abstracts must be submitted online through the congress website, which is the only accepted method of submission. Abstracts sent by e-mail or post will not be accepted.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • Abstracts will be collected through the online abstract submission system.
  • Academic titles must not be used in the author names.
  • Author names should be written with only the first letter capitalized.
  • The institution and department of each author must be clearly indicated.
  • Only the first letter of the abstract title should be capitalized (except for abbreviations).
  • If abbreviations are used in the abstract, the full term should be provided in parentheses when first mentioned.
  • The abstract should briefly state the objective and methods of the study, summarize the findings with sufficient numerical detail, and clearly present the conclusion based on the findings.
  • When uploading the abstract, the required fields in the submission system should be completed without adding additional headings.
  • The abstract text, excluding the title and author names, must not exceed 300 words.
  • Abstracts must include at least three and no more than five keywords. Except for proper nouns, all keywords should be written in lowercase and separated by commas.
  • Abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentation. Authors should select the most appropriate topic category during the submission process.
  • Abstracts should be submitted in text format. A maximum of one figure and one table may be included.
  • References should not be included in the abstract.

ABSTRACT REVIEW PROCESS

All abstracts will be evaluated online by the members of the Abstract Review Committee under a double-blind review process, with author names and institutional affiliations concealed from reviewers. Each abstract will be evaluated independently by two reviewers. The review results will be communicated to all corresponding authors via e-mail.

To be included in the scientific program, the presenting author must complete the congress registration process.

ABSTRACT PRESENTATION

  • The presenter must be an author or co-author of the abstract.
  • Abstracts may be presented in Turkish or English.
  • Presentation duration should be a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes.
  • As questions and discussions will take place at the end of each session, presenters are required to remain in the session until its conclusion.
  • Abstracts accepted but not presented at the congress will not be published in the Congress Abstract Book.

E-POSTER

Authors whose abstracts are accepted as E-Posters may upload their posters through the designated area in the submission system. E-Posters will be displayed on electronic poster kiosks at the congress venue and will be published in the Poster Presentations section of the Congress Abstract Book after the congress.

For an E-Poster to be presented and published in the Congress Abstract Book, at least one author must complete the congress registration.

E-Posters that are not presented during the congress will not be published in the Congress Abstract Book.

Full-Text Paper Submission

Full-text papers submitted to the congress will be published electronically (PDF) in the Congress Proceedings Bookwith an e-ISBN after the congress and will be made available on the congress website.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR FULL-TEXT SUBMISSION

Submitted full-text papers will be published in the electronic proceedings book with an e-ISBN following the congress.

Deadline for Full-Text Submission: 1 November 2026, 23:59

General Formatting Guidelines

  • Full-text papers must be prepared in A4 page format with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
  • The manuscript should be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Text should be justified, without first-line indentation, and no extra spacing should be left between paragraphs.
  • Manuscripts may be prepared in Turkish or English, and there is no page limit.
  • Page numbers should not be included.
  • The title should be centered at the top of the first page, written in bold uppercase letters.
  • The English title should be placed below the Turkish title.
  • Author names should be written with only the first letter capitalized. Academic titles should not be used.
  • Authors' institution, department, city, country, ORCID, and e-mail address must be provided.

Abstract Within the Full Text

  • The abstract included in the full-text paper must comply with the abstract submission guidelines.
  • Turkish and English abstracts must each not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract should clearly state the objective, methods, findings, and conclusion.
  • No subheadings should be used within the abstract, and it should be written as a single paragraph.
  • Abbreviations should be written in full when first mentioned.
  • In review articles, the abstract should also be written as a single paragraph without subheadings.

Manuscript Structure

For original research articles, the manuscript should include the following sections:

  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

For review articles, the manuscript should include:

  • Introduction
  • Topic-related subheadings
  • Conclusion and Recommendations
  • References

Subheadings should be bold and italic, aligned to the left. Leave one blank line between headings and the following text, tables, or figures.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively.
  • All tables and figures must be cited within the text.
  • Table titles should appear above the table, while figure captions should appear below the figure, in 12-point font.
  • Explanatory notes for tables and figures should be written in 10-point font.

Ethical Considerations

  • Ethical approval is mandatory for original research studies.
  • The name of the ethics committee, approval date, and approval number must be stated in the manuscript.
  • Authors are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with ethical principles and obtaining all necessary approvals.

References

References should be prepared according to the APA Style.

In-text citations should follow the (Author, Year) format.

The reference list should be arranged in alphabetical order.

SCIENTIFIC BOOK CHAPTER

Dear Participants,

Among the abstracts accepted to our congress, selected full-text papers will be invited by the Editorial Board for publication as chapters in an academic book published by an international publishing house.

The book, entitled "Breast Milk and Breastfeeding: Supporting Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Healthy Life," will be published free of charge. No publication fee will be requested from the authors, and no royalties will be paid.

The book will meet the requirements for associate professorship applications and academic incentive criteria.

The manuscript preparation guidelines for the book chapters will be announced after the publisher has been finalized.
